New Building Prepares MVH for Future

 

1996SWDevelopment01Miami Valley Hospital has announced the Southwest Development Project, a new facility that will house the Shaw Emergency and Trauma Center, an updated Surgical Center, and related medical and support services. Patient volume in the Emergency and Trauma Center has increased dramatically, from 42,000 patients in 1975 to nearly 70,000 patients in 1996.

Coupled with the new construction are Miami Valley Hospital’s plans to support the city of Dayton’s Rubicon Park Master Plan and a relocation of a section of Wyoming Street. The new facilities are scheduled to open in the spring of 2000.
