Education and Support
Miami Valley Hospital provides community education about healthcare and enhancing your quality of life. We strive to support people from all walks of life, empowering them with skills and knowledge that lead to healthy, fulfilling lives.
Birth and Family Education Classes
Our birth and family education program, taught by registered nurses certified in childbirth education, teaches families about the process of labor and birth as well as infant and family care.
Miami Valley Hospital has nine International Board Certified Lactation Consultants on staff; all of whom are registered nurses. From classes and support groups to one-on-one breastfeeding and pumping support, we are dedicated to helping new moms and babies thrive.
Safe Sleep for Your Baby
At Miami Valley Hospital, your baby's well-being is important to us. To make sure your baby sleeps safe from the start, Premier Health has replaced traditional blankets with wearable blankets or "sleep sacks", as recommended by the American Academy of Pediatrics. We also offer a class to help families understand how to provide a safe sleep environment for their precious little ones.
Miami Valley Hospital now offers Bella Baby Photography to all families that deliver in our hospital. View our online nursery.
