Miami Valley Hospital Receives Consumer Choice Award as one of the Nation's Top Hospitals in Repected Consumer Survey

High Ratings from Patients Regarding Quality of Care

DAYTON, Ohio, September 20, 2007 – For the 12th consecutive year, Dayton consumers have chosen Miami Valley Hospital as the leader over other healthcare institutions in the market for overall quality and image, according to results of the annual Consumer Choice Award, sponsored and implemented by the National Research Corporation.

NRC says that the winners are the hospitals that consumers choose as having the highest quality and image in 180 markets throughout the U.S.

Winners of the award are determined by consumer perception on multiple quality and image ratings collected in the company’s annual NRC Healthcare Market Guide study. The 2007-2008 NRC Healthcare Market Guide study surveyed over 200,000 households representing over 400,000 consumers across the nation.

Winners of the Consumer Choice Award will be announced September 17, 2007, in Modern Healthcare magazine as part of the 2007-2008 NRC Healthcare Market Guide.

National Research Corporation has been honoring hospitals with the Consumer Choice Award since 1995. According to NCR the Healthcare Market Guide is the nation’s largest and most comprehensive study of its kind.  No other study used to measure hospital performance and preference contains more consumer responses.
