When Experience Counts
As a Level I Trauma Center, Miami Valley Hospital provides care for the most seriously injured patients in a 17 county region. Our experienced, fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeons treat every joint in the body, and our nursing staff is specially trained to care for orthopedic and spine patients. MVH also has physicians who performs the Ilizarov technique, a procedure that allows physicians lengthen bones, correct limb deformities and treat deep bone infections.
When Surgery is Needed
At MVH, we thoroughly explore all options before recommending surgery. When surgery is needed, our fellowship-trained physicians perform a wide range of procedures including joint replacements and surgeries on the spine, foot, ankle, shoulder and hand.
Rehabilitation Services Close to Home
Miami Valley Hospital’s Rehabilitation Institute of Ohio is one of the country’s largest and most comprehensive rehabilitation service providers based in a community hospital. Rehabilitation services generally begin within a day of surgery. At MVH, we have rehabilitation units on each floor to better accommodate our patients. We also have several locations in the community if additional rehabilitation is needed after you leave the hospital.
Nationally Recognized Orthopedic Care
The Joint Commission has awarded certification to Miami Valley Hospital for both knee and hip joint replacement. Joint Commission certification is a nationally recognized symbol that reflects our commitment to providing quality patient care.
