Miami Valley Hospital Experts Provide Tips on Achieving a Healthy Heart
DAYTON, OHIO—July 1, 2008 —Miami Valley Hospital’s preventative heart care program, Premier HeartWorks invites the community to participate in two upcoming programs covering topics about healthy eating and exercise.
The first program is scheduled for Sat., July 12, 9 to 10:30 a.m. Registered dietitian Joan Wire will offer tips about making the perfect summer picnic. She will discuss how to shop locally and healthy, and offer tips on outdoor grilling.
A second program will be held Sat., Aug. 9, 9 to10:30 a.m. The topic will be “Fit and Fabulous” and will offer information about starting a regular exercise program. Experts will be on hand to discuss how exercise aids in having a healthy heart and achieving overall fitness.
Both programs will be held at Miami Valley South Health Center at the corner of Wilmington Pike and Clyo Rd. in Centerville. The program is free but registration is required. For more information and to register call 438-5483.
Following both programs Premier HeartWorks staff members will lead anyone interested in a three-quarter mile walk on the trail that winds through the woods and meadow of Miami Valley South Health Center’s campus.
