Meets every Wednesday, noon to 1:30 p.m. in the Miami Valley Hospital Speech Therapy Department.

Burn Center

The Burn Center provides burn and fire safety tips for seniors, and provides a fire and burn safety checklist as well. We also have a 20-minute video about fire and burn safety for people with mobility issues.

Club Horizon

The Club Horizon group is designed for people ages 55 and older. Club Horizon members receive:

Foot & Ankle Center

Located on the ground floor of the Miami Valley Medical/Surgical Health Center, the Foot & Ankle Center has Monday appointments available from 8:00 a.m. to noon. Self-referrals and physician referrals are accepted.

Grandparenting Class

This special class teaches grandparents how to best support the family and baby before, during and after birth. The class also covers care needs of the infant.

Incontinence Management, Women's Health Program 

This program discussed techniques for managing incontinence.

Enterostomal Rehabilitation Center

Affiliated with Dayton Ostomy Association, the Enterostomal Rehabilitation Center services people with ostomies. The Center is located on the first floor of Miami Valley Hospital.

Pelvic Pain Management

This program addresses pelvic pain and teaches participants techniques on how to manage the pain. The Pelvic Pain Management program is part of the Women’s Health Programs.

Montgomery County Stroke Group

The Montgomery County Stroke Group meets on the fourth Thursday of every month from 7- 8:30 p.m. at the Miami Valley Hospital Occupational Therapy Department.

Moving Safely Committee

Activity kits are a good resource to use with the hospitalized elderly. Kits are available from the Moving Safely Committee.

Pain Evaluations

Services offered at the Miami Valley Pain Center include inpatient and outpatient programs and education materials. A physician referral is required for the Pain Center, and program participation in dependent on meeting eligibility criteria.

Total Joint Replacement Program

This program offers pre-surgery educational sessions for people who are having elective hip or knee surgery. Classes are held every Tuesday, from 9:00 a.m. to noon.

A referral from an orthopaedic surgeon is required.
