Premier Health Contribution Guidelines

Premier Health strives to be a dedicated partner to the greater Dayton community. If your organization is interested in having Miami Valley Hospital, Good Samaritan Hospital, or Atrium Medical Center support your cause, please review the following Premier Health Contribution Guidelines. The guidelines provide criteria and areas of focus that Premier Health Partners require to contribute to Dayton area organizations.

Statement of Community Support

Premier Health is committed to our responsibility as good neighbors in the communities in which we reside.  We want to support programs that improve the health status of our residents, improve and/or enhance the quality of life, and contribute to our mission of building a healthier community for residents in Southwestern Ohio.

Premier is a local, non-profit organization.  Contributions to organizations will be at the 50th percentile of larger, for-profit corporations as we desire to make focused social investments that will have an impact.

Premier’s desire is that contributed dollars go directly to programs and services for less fortunate citizens in our community.  Contributed dollars will be in lieu of attendance at special events and dinners except in cases where Premier deems the visibility of Board members and/or staff to be appropriate.

Annual or multi-year contributions in excess of $30,000 annually will be approved by PMC.

Contributions related to Business Development initiatives will not filter through this committee.

  • Committee members will only respond to written requests with sufficient detail to facilitate decision making.
  • Requests should support one of our target areas of health and human services, diversity, arts and culture, education and community activities.
  • Request should support areas of strategic focus, either by service or geographic area.
  • Requests must be received by local organizations.
  • Generally, during the tenure of pledge payments for capital contributions, no annual gifts will be made to an organization.
  • One contribution per year is generally made to an organization, including support for fund-raising events.
  • Each hospital will offer an employee request program.
  • Contributions will also be made to support marketing, public relations and image efforts.
  • All appropriate requests, regardless of organization or affiliate, should be approved by the committee.
  • Requests from hospital executives and/or board members will receive serious consideration.
  • Premier contributions will be split accordingly by percentages depending on which hospitals are involved.
