Free Walk Set for Miami Valley South Health Center
DAYTON, OHIO—(May 22, 2009) — Senior adults who enjoy walking in the fresh air are invited to Miami Valley South Health Center to enjoy nature and to take a walk on center’s nature trail. The organized walk gets underway at 2 p.m., Tues., June 9 and will last about one hour.
Walkers will gather in the main lobby of Miami Valley South Health Center where they will be greeted by a guide. The group will then take a one-mile walk along the scenic trail which gently traverses through the center’s wooded campus. Light refreshments will be served at the end of the walk.
The trail is covered with pea gravel and appropriate footwear is recommended.
The Humane Society of Greater Dayton will also be on hand to loan participants a furry companion to walk if they would like. The initiative is part of the society’s Paw Walkers program.
