Learn Causes of Sleeping Disorders at Free Health Talk
Dayton, Ohio (December 3, 2009) – If you suffer from not getting enough sleep you are not alone. Millions of Americans wake up every morning just as tired as they were when they went to bed. A chronic lack of sleep can trigger the development of serious health conditions, including heart disease, depression and hypertension. Learn more about sleep disorders at the next Mall Walkers Club health event set for Friday, December 11 at the Mall at Fairfield Commons in Beavercreek. Featured speaker is Dr. Kevin Huban. Dr. Huban is director of Miami Valley Hospital’s Sleep Disorder Center. The free event begins at 8:45 a.m. in the food court and healthy snacks will be served.
Miami Valley Hospital offers a health program at Fairfield Commons the second Friday of each month along with free health screenings as part of its Mall Walkers Club. This month blood pressure screenings will be offered.
You do not need to be a member of the club to attend the health talks, but if you would like to join you can do so. Membership is free and is open to anyone 18 or older. Register online or stop by the information desk at Fairfield Commons. When you sign up you will receive a membership bag filled with a pedometer, walking journal and a mall shopping pass.
The Mall at Fairfield Commons is open to walkers Monday through Saturday from 8:30 a.m. until closing and Sunday 10:30 a.m. to 6 p.m.
