MVH Celebrates Moms on Mother’s Day
Dayton, OH (May 5, 2010, 2010) –Miami Valley Hospital has a special way of honoring moms this Mother’s Day. A special video has been produced featuring MVH moms and their children.
A call for photos of children went out earlier this spring by the hospital’s Marketing/Communications Department. Hundreds of images were submitted by physicians, employees and volunteers. After narrowing the photos down to 200 the video celebrating motherhood was created and set to Uncle Kracker’s popular tune “Smile”.
The video captures special moments between mothers and children.
This is the first time the hospital has honored motherhood is such a way.
The video can be viewed on Miami Valley Hospital’s You Tube channel or by going to the hospital’s website and clicking on the button that says “MVH Celebrates Moms.”
Nearly 80 percent of the hospital’s work force is made up of females, many of whom are mothers.
“This is a tribute to not only the mothers working at Miami Valley Hospital, who must balance work and family, but all mothers from across our region who are devoted to healthy raising families,” said Mary Boosalis, president and CEO. “We wanted to honor this special group of women and this seemed to be an appropriate vehicle to do so.”
Many of the children featured in the video were born at Miami Valley Hospital, the regions largest maternity center. The hospital also has the area’s only high-risk obstetrics center and neonatal intensive care unit is the same building.
