Learn How to Protect Yourself Against the Flu
DAYTON, OHIO (September 3, 2010) – Learn how to protect yourself and your family against the flu, colds and other nasty germs at the next Miami Valley Hospital Mall Walkers Club health event set for Friday, September 10 at the Mall at Fairfield Commons in Beavercreek.
Featured speaker is Pam Reichel, executive director of Premier Community Health. She will provide information about flu shots, and share tips on how to keep germs at bay to keep your family healthy. The free event begins at 8:45 a.m. in the lower court. Healthy snacks will be served and blood pressure screenings will be offered.
Miami Valley Hospital offers a health program at Fairfield Commons the second Friday of each month along with free health screenings as part of its Mall Walkers Club.
You do not need to be a member of the club to attend the health talks, but if you would like to join you can do so. Membership is free and is open to anyone 18 or older. Register online or stop by the information desk at Fairfield Commons. When you sign up you will receive a membership bag filled with a pedometer, walking journal and a mall shopping pass.
The Mall at Fairfield Commons is open to walkers Monday through Saturday from 8:30 a.m. until closing and Sunday 10:30 a.m. to 6 p.m.
