About the Southeast Addition
Construction of the Southeast Addition demonstrates Miami Valley Hospital’s ongoing commitment to the Dayton community. It is an investment that will transform patient care and dramatically enhance the hospital campus.
Featured within the new addition will be a unified comprehensive cardiac center. All cardiac-related services, both medical and surgical, will be consolidated in the 484,000 square-foot Southeast Addition. These services include stress testing, diagnostic exams and cardiac catheterization procedures, as well as bypass surgery and open heart surgery.
Designated cardiac surgical suites within the new building allow for patients to receive care without being moved to different locations on campus. When completed, cardiac services will occupy five floors of the building.
