Gynecologic Oncology Center

193

The Gynecologic Oncology Center has the specialists and technology to care for a spectrum of gynecologic cancers. Because we are backed by a hospital, we have the resources necessary to screen for, diagnose, and treat many gynecologic cancers.

The Center offers women a team of professionals with advanced training in the diagnosis, treatment and follow-up care for cancer of the reproductive organs. The team consists of board-certified gynecologic oncologists, a nurse practitioner specializing in oncology, and oncology-certified registered nurses.

We are dedicated to the concept of total patient care, and our goal is to help provide you with the information you need to make informed decisions about your health care. Our mission is to provide compassionate care with advanced cancer treatments.

Your first visit may take several hours. During this visit, the team reviews your care record provided by your referring physician. We address your questions and complete a physical exam. The treatment options are reviewed with you during your visit.

If additional tests or studies are needed, they will be scheduled. For those who will need surgery, a second visit may be required for a complete review of the procedures recommended and your expected recovery.
