Diagnosis
Screening and early detection have proven vital in the fight against many solid cancers. If you have a symptom that suggests lung cancer your doctor may order blood tests and you may have one or more of the following:
- Physical exam
- Chest X-ray
- CT scan
The only way to confirm lung cancer is for a pathologist to study samples of cells and tissues under a microscope. The pathologist may also perform additional test.
