Free Health Talk on Pet Therapy
(Dayton, OH) May 3, 2011 – Learn how pet therapy can benefit your health by attending the next Mall Walkers Club health event set for Friday, May 13 at the Mall at Fairfield Commons in Beavercreek.
Research shows that therapy dogs ease anxiety and have a positive effect on heart patients. To learn more about pet therapy at Miami Valley Hospital, visit our website at www.mvh.org. The free event begins at 8:45 a.m. in the Mall Food Court on the upper level. Healthy snacks will be served and free health screenings will be offered.
You do not need to be a member of the Mall Walkers club to attend the health talks, but if you would like to join you can do so. Membership is free and is open to anyone 18 or older. Register online at www.mvh.org/mallwalkers or stop by the information desk at Fairfield Commons. When you sign up you will receive a membership bag filled with a pedometer, walking journal and a mall shopping pass.
The Mall at Fairfield Commons is open to walkers Monday through Saturday from 8:30 a.m. until closing and Sunday 10:30 a.m. to 6 p.m.
