Inpatient Pain Services

The Pain Center at Miami Valley Hospital works closely with patients, families and referring physicians by providing inpatient consultations. Some of the services provided for inpatient pain care at Miami Valley Hospital include:

• Communicating with the patient’s admitting physician
• Consulting with patients, family members, and all other members of the patient care team,  regarding your pain management plan
• Seeing  inpatients daily, or more often if needed
• Discussing care and progress with patients and/or family members
• Making recommendations to assist the primary care physician in follow-up care
• Ordering and monitoring tests
• Using leading-edge techniques to pinpoint and treat the cause of pain
