Miami Valley Named One of America’s 100 Best Hospitals for Cardiac Care, Cardiac Surgery and Critical Care
Dayton OH. (Oct. 18, 2011) – A report released today by HealthGrades, the nation’s most trusted, independent source of physician information and hospital quality ratings, named Miami Valley Hospital one of America’s 100 Best Hospitals for Cardiac Care, Cardiac Surgery, and Critical Care. The 2011 report also ranks Miami Valley in the top 5 % in the nation for pulmonary care.
Earlier this year, HealthGrades named Miami Valley a Distinguished Hospital for Clinical Excellence, placing the hospital in the top 5% in the nation for clinical outcomes.
According to the HealthGrades report patients treated at 5-star rated hospitals experience a 73% lower risk of mortality and a 63% lower risk of complications compared to 1-star rated hospitals.
