Miami Valley Hospital Promotes Joann Ringer
Dayton, OH (April 2, 2012) – Miami Valley Hospital recently announced the promotion of Joann Ringer to Chief Operating Officer over its south campus in Centerville.
Ringer has been serving as Vice President and administrator at Miami Valley Hospital South (MVHS) since 2007 when the facility opened. During her time at MVHS the campus has grown from a round the clock emergency department and outpatient facility to a full service hospital with inpatient beds providing care to medical surgical patients. This summer the hospital will open a new maternity center. A Comprehensive Cancer Center is currently under construction on campus and will be dedicated in January 2013.
“Joann has done a phenomenal job managing the south campus since the very first phase of construction,” said Bobbie Gerhart, President and CEO of Miami Valley Hospital. “Through her leadership, MVHS began as an ambulatory facility with a free-standing emergency center and has become a fully operational hospital with inpatient beds and services to serve our patients living in communities in the regions of southern Montgomery and Greene counties.”
Ringer has been with Miami Valley Hospital since 1992 and has served in various management positions related to business development and physician relations.
She is a graduate of Ohio State University where she received her degree in business administration. Ringer is an active volunteer with several community and professional organizations.
