Artificial Kidney Unit
As a nurse in Miami Valley Hospital (MVH) Artificial Kidney Unit you will provide Acute and Chronic Hemodialysis and inpatient Peritoneal Dialysis treatments. As an MVH nurse assigned to this department you will provide patient care, support, and more.
MVH Artificial Kidney Unit Details
Number of Beds: Licensed for four acute stations and licensed for five chronic stations. Both inpatient and outpatient dialysis services are provided in the same area.
Shift Options: 10 or 12 hour shifts Monday through Saturday. The unit is open Monday through Saturday 6:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. The unit is closed on Sundays and major holidays. Some on-call is required. On-call coverage is provided for the inpatients on Sundays, holidays and the hours that the unit is closed. Shift times are subject to change at the discretion of the Manager or Director at any time.
Orientation Classes: Eight week course at the Dialysis Centers of Dayton - North. For those with experience, orientation is adjusted to meet their needs.
Experience/Certifications: Prefer previous dialysis experience. Prefer one year medical experience.
Dress Code: Professional scrubs. Details upon hire.
Unique Features: National certification available. All RN/LPN staff. Each patient cubicle has cardiac and oxygen monitoring capabilities, suction and emergency oxygen. All cubicals are equipped with a flat screen TV.
