Number of Beds: 32.
Shift Options: 12 hour, 8 hour, and 4 hour shifts. Shift times are subject to change at the discretion of the Manager or Director at any time.
Orientation Classes: MVH nurses assigned to this unit will complete mandatory yearly competencies in suicidality assessment, behavioral seclusion and restraints, special needs of the hearing impaired patient, and crisis intervention and prevention.
Experience/Certifications: Psychiatric experience preferred, but willing to train. Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) certification required during orientation period. Certification in Psychiatric Nursing encouraged. Membership in professional organization encouraged.
