Heart and Vascular Patient Care
Miami Valley Hospital (MVH) nurses assigned to Heart and Vascular Patient Care will take care of patients with cardiac diagnosis, postcardiac catheter care, and other medical diagnosis requiring monitoring.
MVH Heart and Vascular Patient Care Details
Number of Beds: 46 beds.
Shift Options: 12 hour shifts on days and nights. There are limited eight hour shifts for evenings. Shift times are subject to change at the discretion of the Manager or Director at any time.
Orientation Classes: Your orientation will last six to eight weeks of depending on specific needs.
Experience/Certifications: Telemetry experience preferred but willing to train new graduates. Advanced cardiac life support (ACLS) required within one year of hire.
Dress Code: Professional scrubs.
Unique Features: There are many student nurse rotations (Wright State, Sinclair) throughout the year. Internship rotation is available. Externship is available during summer months. Electrocardiogram (EKG) classes are offered after initial orientation. ACLS class is required within one year. Disease management classes offered on cardiac.
