Chronic Pain Rehabilitation
Miami Valley Hospital (MVH) nurses assigned to the MVH Chronic Pain Rehabilitation department will help patients with chronic pain. Patients learn techniques to keep their pain at a lower level and also to treat sudden escalations. MVH nurses also assist in patient and family education.
MVH Chronic Pain Rehabilitation Unit Details
Number of Beds: 6 to 8 beds.
Shift Options:
Orientation Classes: Orientation will last at least four weeks.
Experience/Certifications: None required.
Dress Code: You are required to wear nice clothes (no jeans) as part of the hospital dress code, but you are not required to wear a uniform.
Unique Features: You will learn how to teach individuals about pain and the care of chronic pain using a work book. You will learn to use a video camera for testing and to train others in relaxation. You will be part of a team.
