Miami Valley Hospital (MVH) nurses in Medical Surgical Patient Care will provide support in medical, surgical, pulmonary, and detox patients.
MVH Medical Surgical Patient Care Details
Number of Beds: 46 beds total with four private rooms and 21 semiprivate rooms. The unit has 32 cardiac monitors for medical patients.
Shift Options: 12 and 8 hour shifts available, 7:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m., 7:00 p.m. to 7:30 a.m. 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., 3:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. and 11:00 pm. to 7:30 a.m. Shift times are subject to change at the discretion of the Manager or Director at any time.
Orientation Classes: You will need to undergo hospital and unit orientation.
Experience/Certifications: MVH nurses (RN and LPN) with Ohio license, patient care technician (PCT) equals completion of basic care of patient class at MVH or previous experience outside of MVH.
Dress Code: Professional scrubs. Details upon hire.
Unique Features: Unit based nursing, leadership and preceptors facilitate individualized orientation. Electrocardiogram (EKG), advanced cardiac life support (ACLS), and disease management classes are available.
