Our team of expert professionals treats adult and adolescent patients with severe injuries. Since 1992, the American College of Surgeons 
has verified Miami Valley Hospital (MVH) as the region's only Level I Trauma Center. To receive this level of verification, a hospital must meet standards of all aspects of care from admission to discharge.
As a Level I Trauma Center, MVH provides a 24-hour, in-house, highly-skilled trauma team that uses current technology to treat patient injuries. Sub-specialists in neurosurgery, orthopedics, facial trauma, anesthesiology, cardiothoracic trauma, physical medicine, rehabilitation, and other specialties, as well as a committed nursing team, are available around the clock to respond to patients needs. MVH also leads the region in trauma research, professional and community education, as well as injury prevention.
