Orthopedic Total Joint Patient Care

The Orthopedic Total Joint Patient Care area at MVH is a surgical floor designated to the care of total joint replacement patients.

The mission of the unit is to provide comprehensive care to patients admitted for an orthopedic health diagnosis. Quality outcomes are fostered through pre-operative teaching, post-operative care, and discharge preparation carried out by the interdisciplinary team of physicians, nurses and therapists. In March 2010, the orthopedic unit became disease certified by The Joint Commission in the area of total joint replacement for hips and knees.
