Alex Huffman, MS, AT

Huffman HS

Alex earned his bachelor's degree in athletic training from The Ohio State University in 2016 and his master's degree in exercise, fitness, and health promotion from George Mason University in 2018. Alex chose athletic training as a career because he enjoys working with athletes to keep them healthy on and off the field. He finds it very rewarding to help athletes succeed in their athletic goals. When time permits, Alex enjoys attending college and professional sporting events, hiking, and spending time with family. 

Patrick Snyder, AT

Snyder HSPatrick Snyder graduated from Ohio University in 2017 with a BS in athletic training. He is also a certified strength and conditioning specialist and has certification in instrument assisted soft tissue massage through Tecnica Gavilan. Ryan states he chose athletic training because "being there for people who need help in the moment on the field and during rehab is rewarding beyond words." In his free time, he enjoys gardening, road biking, exploring new restaurants and taking road trips. Ryan joined Premier Health in 2017 and is currently an athletic trainer at Springboro High School. 

Jeffrey A. James, DO - Medical Director

James HSJeffrey A. James, DO received his medical degree from Ohio University College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2012. Dr. James completed a Family Medicine residency at TriHealth Bethesda in 2015. Dr. James completed a Primary Care Sports Medicine Fellowship at TriHealth Bethesda in 2016. Dr. James is board certified in Family Medicine.

Dr. James is a Credentialed ImPACT® Consultant trained in treating concussions as well as administering and interpreting the ImPACT® test.

Aaron Block, MD, MPH

Block HS

Dr. Block earned his undergraduate degree with honors in biology and physical anthropology from The Ohio State University in 2008, and received his medical degree at the University of South Florida Morsani College of Medicine. Dr. Block completed his family medicine residency at Wright State University Boonshoft School of Medicine. In 2017, he received his board certification in family medicine from the American Board of Family Medicine. He is certified in Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers and Advanced Cardiac Life Support. He is also a Credentialed ImPACT® Consultant trained in treating concussions as well as administering and interpreting the ImPACT® test. Dr. Block loves to celebrate life with travel, outdoor adventures, family, friends, and good food.

Mike Herbenick, MD - Orthopedic Consultant

Hebernick HSMichael A. Herbenick, MD graduated from Wright State University School of Medicine in 2000. He completed his residency in Orthopaedic Surgery at Wright State University School of Medicine. Dr. Herbenick completed a fellowship in Sports Medicine at Kerlan-Jobe Orthopedic Clinic. He is board-certified in Orthopaedic Surgery and Sports Medicine.
