Staying Healthy With Good Lifestyle Choices

Eating healthy, losing weight and getting regular exercise can all help prevent or delay the onset of diabetes. Nonetheless, it’s hard to make big changes. It’s often easier to make small, specific changes to habits—like adding a piece of fruit to a daily meal plan or walking 15 minutes after lunch. Even little steps like these can help guard against diabetes.

Those at risk for diabetes should consult with a doctor about what lifestyle changes may be best for them.
