Our respiratory therapists often function as preceptors for area nursing and respiratory care programs offering practical experience, training to students and unique experiences for clinical education.
Our specialists are always on site and ready with advanced equipment to help in any area of the hospital. From the Emergency Department to Intensive Care, respiratory therapists care for a variety of patients, including newborn infants in respiratory distress, children with asthma or pneumonia, victims of trauma and older patients with emphysema or heart failure.
To help enhance patient health and well-being, Respiratory therapists also provide patient and family education for lung diseases, smoking cessation counseling and pulmonary function testing.
